Show Company Audition Info
Our Show Company aims to impact the community through the Performing Arts, fostering real-world skills and personal growth. Dancers gain invaluable experience, preparing them for auditions, interviews, and collaboration. Attributes developed include self-esteem, discipline, and time-management. We welcome ages 5-20 to audition, with a maximum of 25 dancers accepted. Both boys and girls are encouraged to audition, with dance experience preferred for ages 5-8 and required for ages 9+. Weekly rehearsal hours are age-based, aligned with pediatrician recommendations. Not all dancers may meet the skill requirements initially but are encouraged to re-audition after further training. Our program emphasizes a healthy lifestyle, including fitness and academic excellence. Technique classes and attendance are required, and dancers may travel per our schedule and need to be available for up to 7 weekend performances per season. Ticketing and other fees may apply for halftime and sporting event performances.
Christmas Angels Audition Info
Looking for dancers to fulfill multiple roles in our show!
Join us as our dancers bring the true meaning of Christmas to life. Christmas Angels is the story of Mary and birth of Baby Jesus as told through the dreams of a little girl as she falls asleep on Christmas Eve. She is awakened in her dreams by Christmas Spirit where she is taken on a journey through Bethlehem to learn the true meaning of Christmas. On her journey she will see Wisemen and Shepherds, she will witness Angels, and will even experience meeting Baby Jesus for the first time.
Dancers will perform and give back to the community throughout the holiday season!
Auditioning students ages 5-adult from absolute beginner to intermediate and advanced!
What our company members are provided through their dance education will instill a lifetime of good character, a strong mindset and will, and self-reliance. We are looking for dedicated and serious dancers!
Theatre Week: December 2-6, 2025
Show Date: December 6, 2025 matinee and evening
MUST be available for ALL theater rehearsals and both shows and should be available Friday afternoons and Saturday morning/afternoons for rehearsals beginning summer 2024.
LEADERSHIP
A unique focus At B. Sharp Dance, we believe the greatest gift we can give the artistic community is a dancer who not only has a broad knowledge and strong technique, but who can apply those talents in a spirit of confidence and compassion with a commitment to community service.
Dance can be a powerful tool for developing individual leadership skill. The process of learning dance teaches our students to set goals, to work effectively in teams, to creatively solve problems, and a host of other character building attributes. We recognize that only a small percentage of our students will become professional dancers...while all of them will become professional people!
At B. Sharp Dance, we are committed to helping them become the most successful people possible. Leadership Team Students who have completed a fundamentals or entry level program at B. Sharp Dance and are accepted for additional training are considered part of the "Leadership" team at the School.
We charge our leadership team with responsibility to guard the positive culture that we've built at B. Sharp Dance. Team members are expected to demonstrate the leadership principles in their behavior on and off the floor and to be an example newer students.
Those who most successfully demonstrate the principles in their individual practice are given opportunities to further develop their skill through assistant teaching and other leadership development experiences.
This program gives students real world experience and students may begin the program as a "Faculty Assistant" in 11th grade. The two-year program gives students the skills of teaching classes by learning first to be a good role model, to set lesson plans, review choreography and combinations, and learn to be punctual and prepared for class. By the end of the four-year program, students may be offered paid faculty or staff positions in the studio. Additionally, this program gives students opportunities to work during college. Students that graduate from our Faculty Assistant program will have the skills to go into any studio during their college years and be fluent in teaching many styles of dance to a range of ages and levels. They will also be versed and capable of administrative duties and event planning. This versatile and one-of-a-kind program sets our students on a path to success. Whatever they choose to do beyond high school, they will have the capability to interview, audition, and work with confidence and have a work ethic that will be appreciated in any professional setting.
